La Ronde was nominated for the best Design award by the Manchester Evening News in their annual awards ceremony. A varied collection of period costumes and the opportunity to explore the artistic side of costume for the Actress character. Based on drawings by Gustav Klimt her costumes combined textures and prints echoing his colour palette and the period. The set consisted of a huge window which had shutters, practical windows, curtains and large full length drapes to create each of the locations. The show was performed as if each scene was a photograph, so the floor and the backdrop were treated with colour texture to represent a photograph studio..
