Awful Auntie
Birmingham Stage Company
Neal Foster
Awful Auntie adapted from the book by David Walliams. The set design emerged from David's vivid description of the secret passageways through Saxby Hall. Using automation for the movement on set of the Saxby Hall towers, we follow Stella's journey to the realisation of how evil her aunt really is. The set can move like the magic Harry potter chess pieces. The design influence a was Escher's never ending staircases. The set was built in Leeds by Qdivision who made a great job of the set automation.
