My very first design for a professional theatre. Directed by Andrew Holmes for the studio and a tour. Andrew was director of Empty Space Theatre company. The set was made up of flattened illustrations of the back to back housing of Manchester. A sort of collage where the sections of windows in the collage are the windows of the house. The actors could walk around between two layers of collage which suggested the outside space with lamp posts, bollards and other bits of street furniture.
